Homer Eugene Nash, Retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, died on June 4, 2022 at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Homer was a devoted husband and father who left behind his wife of 62 years Linnie Bowman Nash; daughter Kathy Nash of Colorado Springs, Colorado, son Michael Nash of Palm Bay, Florida and his wife Mary, two daughters, Emile Bradley and Charlotte Allen as well as great grandson Benjamin Bradley.
He was born in Chetopa, Kansas on November 11, 1935 to Homer and Ella Nash who preceded him in death. His brother Fred Nash and sister Velma Hayden also precede him.
He lived a life filled with adventures traveling with the military across the globe for over 20 years. He worked at Peterson Air Force Base as Military Police, in addition as an Air Crew Life Support in Thailand during Vietnam Conflict. He was passionate about loving and serving his wife and children. He loved farming and obtained his Associates Degree as a machinist and put that skill to work helping others to make their working environment easier. He then worked at John Bevere Ministry and could be seen with a trunk load of donated books, giving them to those who were in need of encouragement and hope.
Lovingly called “Dad Nash” and “Grandpa Nash” by many people in the community he spoke encouragement and brought joy and hope to many.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 1:00PM at The Springs Church, 1515 Auto Mall Loop Colorado Springs, Colorado 80920.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be given to the Honor Flight Network https://www.honorflight.org/ . This organization brings WWII, Korean and Vietnam Veterans to Washington D.C. to honor them for their service in keeping America free.
